Good afternoon,
Thanks to all of our partners who attended our partner academy on September 17, 2026 at the Menino Center. I want to recognize the tremendous work that our VP of Partner Development & Engagement Roubina Surenian and her team put into this program, which featured a panel conversation on the great events coming to Boston in the summer of 2026 – World Cup and Sail Boston against the backdrop of the 250th. Please see the presentation deck here.
I recently attended the Skift Global Forum in NY and presented on a panel with Visit Baltimore CEO Al Hutchinson. The topic of our conversation was how destinations remain committed to DEI in the midst of national trends. At Meet Boston we are more committed than ever to these tenets, notably workforce development and supplier diversity. This fall Meet Boston will be unveiling a new module that we are building in partnership with Conan Harris & Associations to foster better supplier diversity for the entire industry.
Stay tuned for imminent information on winter programming and promotions. Meet Boston has exciting news to share regarding a seasonal campaign that will feature an array of inaugural events that will greatly enhance our destination appeal in the colder months. Additionally, a save the date has gone out for our 2025 Annual Meeting, which will take place December 2 at the InterContinental Boston. Keep an eye out for more information over the next few weeks!
The team is busy with travel and trade shows, including Meet Boston’s first ever mission to Mexico which we conducted in partnership with Discover New England two weeks ago. Last week we were north of border for a Blue Jays-Red Sox game in Toronto with our Canadian agency with MICE clients and travel media. And of course the team is also gearing up for IMEX America, taking place in Vegas the first week of October.
While July was challenging for our hotel partners, overall year-to-date visitor metrics remain strong given the ongoing global volatility impacting travel decisions. Despite the July dip, our RevPAR is still up 1% year-over-year and we hope that a strong fall will furnish further growth.
