Meet Boston Executive Update

What has Meet Boston been up to?

Good Afternoon,

We are fresh off of our second East Coast USA trade and media mission to Australia. Earlier this month, the Meet Boston team once again traveled Down Under with our counterparts from Philadelphia and DC to tell an inspiring and inclusive story as to why Aussie visitors should choose the Northeast as their next USA experience. Our events were all very well attended, and we’ve received tremendous feedback from travel media and tour operators in Australia.

Thanks to our restaurant partners who participated in yet another successful edition of Dine Out Boston. Our summer program ran August 3-16 with 188 participating restaurants. The Dine Out Boston charity raised over $14K for two very deserving beneficiaries - City Strings United and Community Work Services. As we prepare for our next Dine Out Boston in 2026, please note that our restaurant partners have received a brief survey this week. Their feedback will help us in planning our winter program.

Last week Meet Boston released the latest in our neighborhood video series, this time featuring Roslindale. Big thanks to our partners in Roslindale, particularly The Substation and Roslindale Village Main Streets, for assisting with this project, which highlights the many compelling reasons why a visitor (or local) should spend their time and money in this wonderful enclave of Boston. Check it out here.

We recently hosted our new Canadian agency in Boston for a destination immersion. The timing couldn’t be better as we work hard to develop new offerings that will entice Canadian visitors to choose Boston. At a time when much of the US is losing volume, we see an opportunity to gain market share from Canada now and through the fall and winter.

Mark your calendars for a couple of exciting partnership events happening in September – our monthly Open House on September 4 at Encore Boston Harbor and our next Partnership Academy on September 17 at the Menino Center.
