Good Afternoon,
As June comes to a close, we are happy to announce that our spring metrics held steady against the backdrop of national declines stemming from economic and geopolitical headwinds. Occupancy for May in Boston and Cambridge was flat at nearly 84% while RevPAR was up slightly. At Logan, YTD passenger numbers through May were up 2%, with international still stable despite ongoing tensions. We see declines from Canada and South America being offset by significant gains in the Middle East and Asia, and incremental growth from Europe.
The team was at IPW in Chicago this month, perhaps the most important international trade and media event of the year. Our booth and our brand were abuzz, with well over 200 appointments on the exhibitor floor and at the media marketplace. I’d like to thank Stacy Thornton, Kerri Cronin, Paul Griffin, and all the Meet Boston partners who joined us, for creating an amazing presence on the floor that included a very popular lobster roll activation on the final day.
Last week we hosted an event at our offices for the consular corps of Greater Boston and New England. We invited all Consuls General to hear directly from Meet Boston and our partners at FIFA and Sail Boston on the global events coming in the summer of 2026. The session was well attended and very informative; we will share the presentation deck with our partners.
After a very successful Dine Out Boston in March we have already announced that the summer program will take place August 3-16. Sign up today for added exposure.
If you haven’t already, please tune into our podcast. Recent episodes include conversations with Steve DiFillippo from Davio’s and Michael Nichols from the Downtown Boston Alliance. Our next recording will be with Catherine Morris from BAMS Fest.
Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July celebration. We encourage all to enjoy the Boston Harborfest festivities.
