Thanks to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting at Boch Center in December. We hope you enjoyed the evening and found the conversations enriching. Our partnership team did an outstanding job in planning and executing such a memorable evening.
Our trade and media missions to Paris and Dublin were very successful. We hosted over 200 writers and operators at our various events and once again received stellar feedback from the attendees. Later this month I’ll be in India for a Brand USA mission with a number of my destination CEO counterparts; India is now a top 5 source market for international visitors to Boston and we are working hard to grow that market share.
Before the holiday break I was in Chicago for the Q4 US Travel Association (USTA) Board Meeting. Currently I am the Co-Chair of USTA’s CEO Roundtable, affording me a great opportunity to lead critical conversations that impact the future of destination marketing.
The Sales team has been busy attending events such as the FICP Annual Meeting, National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals and Holiday Showcase in Chicago. On the global stage, we attended IBTM World in Barcelona in November and captured nearly 200 leads. Next week we are off to PCMA in Houston. Speaking of PCMA, congratulations to Jill Bowdring for being selected as one of their “20 in Their Twenties,” a PCMA program that recognizes 20 emerging leaders in our industry.
Meet Boston has said goodbye to one of our most enduring ambassadors. Stephanie Pappas left the organization as 2024 came to a close. It goes without saying that Stephanie has been an amazing member of Meet Boston and the hospitality community for decades. Her contributions are countless. We will miss her but wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
Finally, tune into the Boston Found podcast! Recent guests include Daren Bascome from Proverb Agency discussing the evolution of iconic brands and Brett Miller from the Red Sox talking about the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. We have many amazing voices on deck for 2025.
